The Invest Atlanta Housing team conducted or otherwise participated in three May events that spotlighted and promoted tools to finance home ownership and renovation opportunities to Atlanta residents.

On May 7, one of Invest Atlanta’s participating lenders, Prime Lending, taught House Rules, a home renovation education workshop, that told 17 prospective homebuyers how they could buy and renovate a home with a renovation mortgage loan, Invest Atlanta Homebuyer Incentives and home energy efficiency tips. IA’s Anita Allgood joined speakers from Prime Lending, Georgia Power and the Lifecycle Building Center in addressing attendees.

Four days later, Invest Atlanta’s Homeownership Team gave a detailed briefing to a healthy turnout of 56 would-be homebuyers at its monthly Q & A session about how the IA Homebuyer Incentives are used in the home-buying process. Allgood and IA’s Michele Lewis conducted the session.

And, on May 21 Lewis told 90 prospective homebuyers about IA Homebuyer Incentives at Pittsburgh Rise, a unique neighborhood festival that celebrated the new revitalization of a series of neighborhood’s along the Atlanta BeltLine Southside Trail corridor. Organized by the Annie E. Casey Foundation, Pittsburgh Rise also drew officials or representatives from Atlanta Habitat for Humanity, SUMMECH, Charis Community and Committed to Communities.
