Homeownership Team Turns Up the Heat in July

Wednesday, August 17, 2016

July was a busy month for Invest Atlanta in homeownership. The team completed four homebuyer education events, including educating new homebuyers about incentive opportunities at the City of Atlanta’s Employee Perks Fair, two Q&A sessions conducted at the Invest Atlanta office and a homebuyer education seminar.

Over 200 City of Atlanta employees, including the Atlanta Police and Atlanta Fire Rescue departments, were on hand at the Atlanta City Hall Atrium to hear IA’s homeownership experts talk about homebuyer incentives. In August, the homeownership team returns to City Hall for an after-work Q&A session for city employees who expressed interest in incentives during the fair.

Speaking of Q&A sessions, 81 prospective homebuyers came to the two held by Invest Atlanta in July. In addition to learning about IA homebuyer incentives, attendees also received tips on the home-buying process from participating mortgage lenders and were provided with information on available new construction homes in Midtown Atlanta at West Highlands, from Dahlia Aitova, a Brock Built representative.

Team member Anita Allgood also discussed homebuyer incentives at Jimmy the Realtor’s Sip & Sell Homebuyer Education Seminar. Several industry experts were on hand to provide information on the home-buying process, and a recent homebuyer shared their firsthand experience on working with Invest Atlanta.
