Friday, November 4, 2016
Site Selection, a leading economic development trade publication, has named Georgia the top state in which to do business for the fourth year in a row.
“Georgia’s top state business climate ranking is based on where corporate expansion projects are occurring and where investors say they want to commit their capital for the long term,” said Mark Arend, editor-in-chief of Site Selection.
“This recognition underscores how Georgia continues to be a world-class location for business,” said Dr. Eloisa Klementich, President and CEO, Invest Atlanta. “In 2016, we have seen three Fortune 500 companies relocate their headquarters or establish significant hubs in Atlanta because of our competitive business environment, skilled workforce and attractive quality of life.”
In the first nine months of 2016, Invest Atlanta has helped attract $447 million of capital investment to Georgia within the City of Atlanta, creating 4,533 jobs. Economic development wins in Atlanta in the last six months with significant job creation and economic investment include GE Digital, Honeywell, NCR and Anthem.Tweet
